““This complaint may or may not confirm that President Trump used his position as president to manipulate Ukraine to aid him in defeating, Joe Biden.””
Reminiscent of the 2016 election, the United States is again up in arms over potential foreign interference in the upcoming election. This time however former Vice President Joe Biden, his son, and Ukraine are at the helm of the debate. Recently an unnamed, whistleblower’s complaint has forced its way to the front page of many major news sites. This complaint may or may not confirm that President Trump used his position as president to manipulate Ukraine to aid him in defeating, Joe Biden. This complaint was filed with the inspector general who deemed complaint “urgent.” However the director of national intelligence is refusing to share details of this complaint with congress despite the demands of house democrats, and the subpoena issued by the House intelligence committee
According to the New York Post, Joe Biden’s son was appointed to the board of directors of a Ukrainian natural gas company and was paid up to $50,000 for his work on their board. They also are reporting that Joe Biden, while in office, successfully orchestrated the removal of a prosecutor who was investigating the company which Hunter Biden worked for. None of this has been confirmed but if this is true it would be catoptric for the Biden campaign and would raise many questions about the Biden’s potential abuse of power.
On the other hand, President Trump’s alleged interference is pushing may house democrats to reconsider their stance of impeachment. Most notably, House Speaker Nacy Pelosi sent out a letter to house democrats which had strong undertones of impeachment. Mrs. Pelosi has been a strong advocate against impeachment however this new development may be the beginning of a new pro-impeachment stance from democratic leadership. The Democrats currently have a comfortable majority in the house and this new development could force impeachment to a vote.
